Robert Harley van de The Absolute Sound heeft de Devialet 200/400 geïntegreerde versterker/streaming DAC gerecenseerd. Hij zegt onder andere het volgende: "The Devialet 200/400 is, by a wide margin, the most advanced, flexible, and technically sophisticated audio product I’ve reviewed. "

Devialet Phantom op HiFi.nl
"Ik ontkom er niet aan om me aan te sluiten bij de grote groep (internationale) collega’s die de loftrompet steekt over de Devialet Phantom. Het concept en het technische ontwerp zijn fantastisch, de uitvoering is (op details na) vlekkeloos, en de implicaties die dit systeem kan hebben voor de ontwikkeling van hoogwaardige maar alleszins bereikbare (streaming) audio mogen absoluut niet worden onderschat. Hoewel ik zelf nog steeds een aanzienlijke rol zie voor de meer traditionele hifi realiseer ik me tegelijkertijd dat ik geen enkel systeem met losse componenten kan bedenken dat voor om en nabij de 3700 euro (de prijs van twee witte Phantoms en een Dialog) neerzet wat Devialet hier laat horen."

Devialet Phantom in HVT
Het gaat opeens niet meer over versterker dit, luidspreker dat en DAC zo-en-zoveel. Nee, het gaat opeens alleen maar over de muziek waar jij en je vrienden naar luisteren en het delen van al dat luisterplezier. Het sociale aspect van het bezig zijn met muziek treedt opeens naar de voorgrond. Een prachtige ontwikkeling, althans naar mijn mening.

"No matter how loud you play either Phantom, they are immune to clipping or noticeable distortion. It’s also nice to know that the SAM tech makes it impossible to blow a speaker. Don’t worry about overheating, either—the body remains cool to the touch. No doubt thanks to all that Kevlar stuffing inside. Even more stunning, the body transmits almost no vibration at high volume. A wine glass placed on top of the Phantom during a Nirvana playlist didn’t budge. Not even a bass-centric track, like Moderat’s “A New Error” caused a ripple. The floorboards and ceiling fixture, however, were definitely resonating."
